WALKING AND WORKING WITH GOD

When we were much younger I mean when we were between the ages 1-2, I can boldly say that all children walking at this age will be guided by their parents as it is expected that such cannot be left alone to walk, and do so many activities on their own due to their imperfection and inability even in the way they walk.

Talking about working, it is a continuous practice which we engage in and we are mostly being paid for or not. So, walking and working with God means the ability to journey with the Father uprightly in our earthly race. I mean the capability to be led to perfection by the Ancient one just as the way the  toddler will be guided as a result of his/her imperfection. No wonder what God told Abraham in ( Gen 17:1).

Furthermore, working with God simply means performing some self-service to the Father it could be in joining a unit in the church of God in order to function for Abba without expecting any wage or returns. This is absolutely nice but a very quick question is that as much as we are working with the father are we also walking with Him?  He told Abraham plainly in the books of ( Gen 17:1) "Walk before me and be ye perfect ". The moment we begin to see ourselves as toddlers in the sight of the One who sits on the circle of the world, it gets easier to surrender ourselves for a nice work and walk with Him.

Remember when  a toddler takes a wrong step, he/she would be corrected by his/her parents this is more like what happens to us when we decide to work and walk with the Father, as He begins to nurture us and ensure we do not take the wrong steps. There are some promises for those who walk uprightly with the Father even as they work with Him (Isaiah 35: 15-16) . Reading through ( col 1: 10) we would see Paul's epistle to the Colossians  admonishing them to walk worthy of the Lord and being fruitful in every works committed in their hands.

In conclusion, we should understand that as children of God we should work as well as walk uprightly in his commandments for it is highly needed of us.

PRAYER POINT: Abba, the ability to work with you and also walk with you always you grant unto me. AMEN!!!

FUEL IT UP!!!

When I was in primary school I was part of the girls guide. we usually go for weekend camping in any agreed location and I remember that whenever we were at camp, we always have the camp fire at night and everyone will be dancing around it. Whenever the fire goes down, we will put leaves and some other petrochemical substances to enable it burn well. Going through the books of Mathew 25, the story of the 10 virgins ignited a spark in me and I realized instantly that to keep anything burning, we need substances to fuel it up just as we did at the camp whenever the camp fire goes down. Also, most of us have generators in our various homes and I can imagine how much we would feel helpless when we cannot get fuel to power our generators especially when we have a very interesting show coming up or a football match and the electricity distribution company decided to keep the light off. Brethren, reading through Mathew 25: 1-13, we would have a better understanding of what it means to fu...

God's Laws Versus God's Promise

A father who lives in the diaspora once had a son and for some reasons his son cannot come along with him. Nevertheless, he kept on investing and was lucrative in his business. This man got a guardian to keep his son in track while he was away and he wrote his will so that when he is away permanently his possession could be given to his child by the guardian on reaching a specified age written in his will. He did this so that the child could be rightly led and could have come of age not to mismanage the properties. Going through the books of Galatians, I had a deeper understanding of God's laws and God's promises. Firstly, we have sins, laws and promises. Literally, Sin is anything detestable to God, God's laws are the guidance from God given alongside the promise to reveal to people their sins (Gal 3:19). God's law was given until the fulfilment of the promise. God's promise is simply grace in the human form of Christ Jesus. Going back to my introductory story, the...

A New Wine

Going through the books of Joel, The word new wine caught my attention. What does it symbolizes? The book of Joel made it known that scripturally, a new wine can be likened to Joy. In today's world where depression is raging amidst different age groups, it is an undeniable fact that almost everyone knows the importance of genuine joy to humanity. A feeling that is of an inestimable value! Joel chapter 1 and 2 emphasizes on the reproach faced by the children of Israel due to their disobedience causing the new wine dry up which eventually led to spiritual declination and making them a prey in the hands of their enemies. This symbolically means due to our disobedience as children of God, we could loose our inheritance before Abba which we had from time being ( Joel 1:10). Have we ever thought of a point in our lives, where things were so easy for us, or...
