" DRIED BONES "

Basically, everyone likes either chicken, turkey, meat or fish. The process of nurturing the animals which provide these protein till the point of being made available for use is not a playful exercise. Most of us cannot eat our meal without any of these so called protein. When we strip these so called proteins off their flesh we end up with bones, Some bones are crackable while some are not. The uncrackable bones eventually gets discarded since they have become useless we throw them in our dustbins or incinerators as the case may be. Going back to check probably few days after we see the extent to which the bones are dried, lifeless and dull and one could not have said it was from them that the sumptuous flesh was previously gotten before they turned out to be what they have become.

This little illustration above can be used to denote the lives of believers, there could have been a point in time that as believers we were flourishing and blossoming as a result of the capabilities deposited in us by the Father just as the way the animals must have been nurtured to the point of use. Along the line, we could have gotten involved in atrocities that rids us off our prior blossoming and flourishing flesh i.e potentials in Christ hereby making us emaciated just as the way the flesh of the so called proteins were gotten off their bones and eventually leading to dryness. A dry bone physically is most likely of no use, it does not possess life and the sight is not pleasing to the eye, so it is spiritually.

A good news to us all is that no matter how dry we must have become we can still receive life, In the book of  ( Ezekiels chp 37: 1-15) we would see how the Father restored life to the bones that were dried by giving out His Sprit into them and they lived. These bones here scripturally represented the house of Isreal.

In conclusion, dryness is not good for children of God and most especially spiritual dryness is not a good thing to reckon with as it becomes evident in all spheres of such individual's life. As such the Father is calling us to receive His Spirit into our dried bones so that we can live and flourish again. This can be made possible by acknowledging our sins, renouncing them and being determined to retain the knowledge of Christ in us. May the good Lord bless us as we do so. Amen

PRAYER POINT: Father, I command every dry bone in my life to receive fresh breath and flesh from above, Amen.

Workers in the vineyard

When I was younger, I remembered visiting a marble company, There I saw different stages of how the marble is being processed and finally done. I remembered that the several stages in the production was allocated to different people to ensure a smooth and successful completion of the marble. While I was reading through the books of Mathew 20, the phrase workers in the vineyards caught my attention and this reminded me of my introductory story. Here, we are made to see an illustration of individuals working in a vineyard to achieve a common goal and how they are  paid the same wages at the end of the day. What does this mean to us as believers? just as the bible records it in 1 Cor 12: 1-27, we are all different parts of the same body working towards the same goal of populating the kingdom of God, we should not overestimate ourselves. In Mathew 20, the bible records it that those that have been working in the vineyard since dawn and those who just joined an hour to the end of ...

FUEL IT UP!!!

When I was in primary school I was part of the girls guide. we usually go for weekend camping in any agreed location and I remember that whenever we were at camp, we always have the camp fire at night and everyone will be dancing around it. Whenever the fire goes down, we will put leaves and some other petrochemical substances to enable it burn well. Going through the books of Mathew 25, the story of the 10 virgins ignited a spark in me and I realized instantly that to keep anything burning, we need substances to fuel it up just as we did at the camp whenever the camp fire goes down. Also, most of us have generators in our various homes and I can imagine how much we would feel helpless when we cannot get fuel to power our generators especially when we have a very interesting show coming up or a football match and the electricity distribution company decided to keep the light off. Brethren, reading through Mathew 25: 1-13, we would have a better understanding of what it means to fu...

THE SECOND DEATH

I never knew a man could die twice. I mean someone giving up the ghost twice, This sounds very funny, unrealistic and at the same time it sounds strange. Everybody is aware of the situation when a man is proclaimed dead. First and foremost, such individual cannot breathe again, move his or her body in short the person is lifeless. When this tragic event occurs to an individual, such is to be taken away from his/her loved ones and buried. I am extremely sure this is the understanding most of us have when we hear that a person is dead. Talking of the second death, does it now means that such person who has earlier died will repeat the same process? A candid answer to this can be found in the books of revelations 20:14. We were made to understand what the second death indicates. Scripturally, it means the lake of fire. Here, we were told that anyone whose name will not be found in the book of Life such individual will experience the second death. How is it to for a person to have a portio...
